For others it is simply “People Like US”. Gowri was fond of the Warli Style and our logo is her stylised drawing of Babu Rao, her pet at home.

She was a Director of Bharatiya Samruddhi Financial Services Ltd, of the Basix group and is a professional member, Indian Society for Applied Behavioral Sciences (ISABS). She has been the external anchor for the Roopantaran initiative of Sir Ratan TataTrust .
She is the author of “The Strategic Business Spiral” (2001) and has co-edited “Institutions Consultants and Transformation – Cases Studies from the Development Sector” and co-authored ‘Whose Sustainability Counts? BASIX Long March from Microfinance to Livelihoods”. “Rescuing Railway Children” (2013) presents experiences of NGOs in reuniting runaway children with their families and thereby restoring their lost childhood.

She worked as an officer in SBI for over two decades.She headed Vidyaranya, a progressive school in Hyderabad (where Gowri and her sister Sharanya Iyer studied) as Principal for three years (1998-2001) and has been closely associated with Ananda Bharathi a non-formal school for girls. She worked as a consultant in Thinksoft Consultants Hyderabad till 2009 and moved to Bangalore thereafter.

She iwas a consultant with HMRI, Hyderabad and currently she is an independent consultant based in Hyderabad. She is interested in continuing professional education for leadership in non-profits and social enterprises. She has a wealth of experience in training and project management for large system change. She has been trained and certified as an Organizational Change Facilitation Practitioner (OCFP) by the HID forum, Bangalore.

Shanti Yeachuri’s specializes in process training, linguistic skills, project design, implementation and documentation.

She currently lives in Udaipur and has worked for Naandi foundation in Hyderabad, Jargiti Yatra in Mumbai and is an independent consultant for various small and medium sized NGOs in Udaipur. She shares many of Gowri’s passions and views and brings zeal and enthusiasm to everything she does.

A post-graduate in Sociology , Padma began her career in the development sector as a research associate . She has worked on issues of food security, gender and discrimination and child rights. For the last five years she has been the Principal and school administrator of Pudami Neighbourhood Schools set up by Dr Reddy’s Foundation. She has been closely associated with Plustrust and developed the concept and directed our documentary film Platform 8 on the lives of railway children in 2009. She was part of our core team for the Plusturst Gurukulam project.
